Bob and Carolyn, I had an eye exam today because my contact has been so foggy for the past few months. I felt that my prescription must have changed. I wear only one contact in my left eye to correct for distance. As he checked my eye, I began to notice he made me do each choice twice and seemed a bit confused. I had a sudden realization and blurted out “My vision has improved hasn’t it? That’s why my lens seems off?” He hesitated and said, “that is probably partially the reason. Your vision hasn’t only improved, its perfect.”
He went on to say that it is possible for vision to improve but not by this much. He postulated that I had been over-prescripted in the past which would account for the big difference. At that point I knew I had experienced an amazing reversal of vision because my lens never felt like a strong prescription. I have had the same lens prescription for over 10 years and it has been prescribed by several different optometrists and ophthalmologists over this time period.
